Don’t just take our word. Listen to the teams we have worked with in the past!

Paul Koot - DRVC President

“DRVC would like to extend its thanks to Monica Dyment for her work with our athletes from 14U to 18U over the last seven years.

She provided mental performance coaching and fitness training for our players. She brought passion, enthusiasm and extensive knowledge to our teams,  helping them show improvement, both on and off the court.

Her work on positive self-talk, mistake recovery, team culture, positive mindset, body language and emotional control were powerful tools for our players at all ages.”

Marjolaine Trottier - Northumberland Breakers 13U Girls’ Coach

“Monica’s energy is contagious and she transcends kindness.  She is very confident, professional, flexible, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable in her field: mental and physical health. During her sessions, our players actively listened and became involved instantly in the engaging activities she offered us.

We wish we could have had her more often, but we just did not have enough time this season. In the future, we would arrange for her to come back on a more regular basis.  The learning and positive results for our players and our team were evident.

I fully endorse her and the work she does. Any team players will be stronger after she has worked with them.  She is simply great at what she does.”

Emma Hannah - DRVC 18U Team Captain

“People often think that mental training is not important and is basically the same thing repeated by everyone, simply “Be positive.” That is what I used to think, but I have been training with Monica since 14U and have learned that mental training is one of the most important things in sports. Monica’s training has taught me how to progress from being a good athlete, to a great athlete. Each session Monica ran with my team, and other teams in our club, was customized to fit the needs and age level of the team.

I used to get so mad at myself for my errors which created a bad environment on the court. Something that really helped me was learning that each point is an OTI, an Opportunity To Improve. An OTI makes you stronger and helps you grow. I understand now that challenges are supposed to be uncomfortable. This helped me fix my attitude and become more accepting of my mistakes. I have learned through the recruiting journey that college coaches do not just look for a good player. They look for players with positive attitudes, who support their teammates and who fix their errors at the next opportunity.

Without Monica’s training, I would not have been recruited due to my bad attitude. Monica is a kind soul and easy to talk to. She makes connections with every athlete. My team and I greatly benefited from the mental training done with Monica. She creates a positive environment and has taken my play to the next level.”
