Planning for Effective Traditional Training

Much attention is given to e-learning, but from time to time traditional forms of training need to be created when, for example, your audience may not be technically savvy or if job conditions do not allow for learners to stop their work to be trained.

Proper planning will help ensure the creation of effective, objective training.  The keys to effective training are the following elements:

  • Telling people what they need to know is not effective. Training is an actionable event
  • Knowing that adults have different learning needs you must be willing to explore different ways to accommodate those needs
  • Measure the results of your training to learn for yourself what is working and what is not

There are many more elements to creating effective training. At PinPoint Performance Solutions we have maintained a presentation we frequently present on titled Building Effective Training in 5 Easy Steps. Please enjoy the presentation to learn more about planning and building effective traditional training.
